Bangladesh: BSCIC goes digital, launches online marketplace for Cottage MSMEs

Dhaka: The Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC) under the Ministry of Industries has launched an online marketplace of all categories of entrepreneurs including Cottage, Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises ().

Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun attended as a chief guest at the inaugural function on Thursday evening, announced the journey of the e-commerce platform.

BSCIC chairman State Minister for Industries Kamal Ahmed Majumder, State Minister for Information (ICT) , Industries Secretary Zakia Sultana, and others were present as special guests at the function presided over by Mushtaq Hasan.

This e-commerce platform is designed to market products produced by others, including entrepreneurs who do not have their own showrooms.

BSCIC says the e-commerce platform is an international standard. CMSME entrepreneurs will be able to sell their products at fair prices at home and abroad through the BSIC platform.

BSCIC is the only government organization whose main is to create new entrepreneurs.

The ‘' platform will usher in a new era in entrepreneurship as well as online marketing of products produced by entrepreneurs.

Entrepreneurs will be able to display and market their products for free from BSCIC Online Market. Entrepreneurs do not have to pay any fee for marketing the product online.
