bKash signs MoU with community bank

Dhaka: The mobile financial service, integrated transaction service has been launched with Community Bank Limited. As a result, all customers of Community Bank, including members of the Bangladesh Police Force, will now be able to bring money to the instant bKash account and also deposit money from bKash to the community bank account.

Community Bank customers can now transact 24 hours, 365 days from anywhere in the country through the bKash app. There is are obligation to go to the bank branch now to meet the daily banking needs.

On Saturday, the chairman of the bank and the Inspector General of Police () Benazir Ahmed inaugurated the joint service of Community Bank and the country's largest mobile financial services provider at a hotel in the capital.

Community Bank Managing Director and CEO Mosul Haque Chowdhury and bKash CEO Kamal Qadir and senior officials of both the organizations were present at the occasion.

As a result of this initiative, banking transactions have become easier, safer, and more time and cost-saving for all the customers of Community Bank including the members of Bangladesh Police.

At the same time, the opportunity has been created to reach out to more and more customers with all the creative services of Community Bank.

According to the police headquarters, in order to get this service, customers first need to establish a link between the bKash account and the community bank account from the bKash app.

Without going to the bank again, customers can deposit money in the account of the community bank, DPS, loan installments, etc., through the various services bKash app ‘Transfer Money', customers can take it at home.

Note that the ‘transaction limit' prescribed by Bangladesh Bank will be applicable in both Ad Money and Transfer Money.

Dr Benazir Ahmed said: “We did not want to bank the police. We have done banking for the people. Because the police work for the community, for the people. Community Bank has come a long way in the last two years. There is no doubt that its speed will accelerate in the future.”

He said that bKash has brought a revolutionary change in the field of mobile banking in the country. At present mobile banking has become very popular in the country.

Kamal Qadir, Chief Executive Officer of bKash, said, “Members of the police force in different parts of the country are constantly working to ensure our safety.”

“Our joint service with Community Bank will facilitate any urgent financial transactions including their daily needs and give them the opportunity to be by the side of family and relatives from afar.”
