Additionally, the institute has encouraged Afghan students to apply to IIT Delhi’s International Ph.D. Fellowship Program (IPFD).

Director expressed solidarity with Afghan students and alumni on Twitter. “In this hour of need, IIT Delhi stands in solidarity with our Afghan students and alumni,” Director Rao stated. We are making every effort to reintroduce students to campus.”

With the withdrawal of US soldiers from Afghanistan, the have taken control of the country’s major towns, including the capital Kabul, districts, and provinces.

IIT Bombay enabled students from Afghanistan who were taking online lessons to join the Mumbai campus’s dorms earlier today, citing the deteriorating situation in their homeland. According to Subhasis Chaudhuri, Director IIT Bombay, the institute has provided admission to Afghan students through the ICCR scholarship scheme. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, these pupils were enrolled in online coursework.
