Dhaka — That information has come up in the latest report of June by Okla, a company that compares the speed of the . Okla says ranked 135th out of 137 countries in the world in terms of average mobile internet speeds last June.

Compared to May, Bangladesh's position in June has gone one step further. Bangladesh's position is upper than war-torn Afghanistan and Venezuela.

According to the report, the download speed of mobile internet in Bangladesh is 12.44 Mbps.

And the upload speed is 7.98 Mbps. Among the neighboring countries, Maldives is ranked 40th, Nepal 105th, Pakistan 114th, India 122nd, 129th and Myanmar 109th.

The download speed of mobile internet in Maldives is 57.09 Mbps. And the upload speed is 14 point two seven Mbps.

The has the fastest internet in the world, according to Okla. Where the download speed is more than 193 Mbps. The next five countries are , Qatar, Norway and Cyprus.

There is no good news like mobile internet even in the case of broadband internet. Bangladesh ranks 98th out of 181 countries in terms of the speed of broadband internet.

Last June, Bangladesh took two steps back in terms of broadband internet speed. Broadband download speeds in the country are just over 38 Mbps. Upload speed is about 37 Mbps.

Among the neighboring countries, India ranks 70th speed 58 Mbps, Maldives 112th speed 28 Mbps, Nepal 115th speed 27.35 Mbps, Sri Lanka 126th speed 23.8 Mbps, Pakistan 164th speed 12.77 Mbps.

The highest speed on broadband is in Monaco, 261 Mbps. The lowest is in Turkmenistan, at 4.49 Mbps.
