Tata AIA Life Insurance has appointed former Aegon Life senior executive Rupesh Mehta as vice president of information technology

has appointed former Aegon Life senior executive Rupesh Mehta as vice president of information technology. In this role, Mehta will lead the technology backbone of the insurance firm, said the company.

At Aegon Life, he has been credited to have successfully executed several IT projects including the smooth work from home enablement for the insurance employees, partners and different stakeholders.

In a career spanning over 17 years, Mehta has worked with various organisations in a technology leadership role. Previously, he was chief technology officer (CTO) for Reliance Health Insurance.

Mehta began his career way back in 2003 as a technical consultant with CMS Info Systems where he led the training on different technology subjects to corporate executives and students.

Mehta is an alumnus of K. J. Somaiya Institute Of Engineering and Information Technology. He did his MBA from the Sikkim Manipal University of Health, Medical and Technological Sciences.
