Gmail, YouTube and several other Google services suffered disruptions on Monday evening.
At about 05:25 pm, Google said that it was aware of a problem with Gmail affecting a majority of users and the affected users are unable to access Gmail.
The services that were affected, however, were restored in some time.
In an update on the Google Workspace Status Dashboard at 06:17 pm, Google mentioned that Gmail service has already been restored for some users, and “we expect a resolution for all users in the near future. Please note this time frame is an estimate and may change.”
Services such as Google Calendar, Google Docs, Google Drive, and Google Meet were also affected.
Downdetector, which tracks the services and offers real-time status and outage information, showed that services like YouTube and Gmail were witnessing disruption.
The company had faced a similar outage in August this year.
Many people took to Twitter and expressed their anger and discomfort making ”#Google” a trending topic with over 1.29 million tweets.
