NEF will allow service providers to deliver an improved quality of experience for internet application and device provisioning, enabling a number of 5G use cases including Massive IoT, Ultra Reliable Low Latency Communication and Enhanced Mobile Broadband. Nokia NEF will be commercially available in the third quarter of 2019.

Nokia NEF is based on the 5G specifications released by the 3GPP standardization body. Our center is actively involved in the development of new technology approaches for state-of-the-art quality products, for which Nokia is known across the globe, and Nokia NEF is just one example of this work. We are committed to continue developing new and innovative products to help service providers meet various market challenges and maximize their investments.”

The annual Innovation Day event showcases Nokia’s latest innovations and advances. It also brings together Nokia’s partners from Bengaluru’s technology ecosystem across academia, technology companies and start-ups. This year, Nokia demonstrated a wide spectrum of technologies under its event theme ‘5G is Now, Intelligent Machines that connect the Next Billion’.
