Technology-based home cleaner maker is all set to launch its new product – Robot Vacuum – in India. Priced at Rs 41,900, the Roomba e5 Robot Vacuum will support Amazon Alexa and Wi-Fi connectivity, said the company. In India, the Roomba e5 will be sold through Puresight Systems Pvt Ltd which is the official distributors of iRobot products in the country.

The company said that the Roomba e5 comes with a 3-stage cleaning system that uses dual multi-surface rubber brushes, power-lifting suction with 5-times higher the air power, and a filter to clean the dirt. The company asserted that its edge-sweeping brush focuses on dirt that accumulates around edges and corners. The Roomba e5 robot automatically docks and recharges after cleaning. It also supports Wi-Fi-Connectivity leading to managing of the cleaning act via the iRobot HOME app.

The product is compatible with Amazon's Alexa home assistant to be voice-controlled from anywhere inside the home. It can also be manually programmed with web-based service IFTTT (If This, Then That) which enables its users to develop conditional statements such as “Make Roomba start cleaning after I switch off the TV” with all platforms, services, and products supported by IFTTT.

The company informed that Roomba e5 will be backed with 2 years of warranty on the robot vacuum and 1 year on the battery. The product will be serviced by Puresight Systems, the company Indian partner.

iRobot Roomba e5 can be purchased from iRobot's showrooms across Bengaluru and Chennai or from the iRobot India website.
