The Board of Secondary Education, Odisha which conducted the examination on September 25 is likely to release the soon and OTET 2017 Results by October 25 at bseodisha.ac.in. OTET 2017 examination was held across in in two shifts from 10 am to 12.30 pm for Paper I and from 2 pm to 4.30 pm for Paper II on September 25.

The paper 1 was of 150 marks and it contained question on child development and pedagogy, a regional language (Odia, Urdu, Hindi, Telugu or Bengali), English, mathematics and environmental studies. On the other hand, the paper 2 was of total 150 marks. It had questions on three compulsory subjects- child development and pedagogy, a regional language and English- and an optional subject. According to experts both the papers were of easy to moderate level and more or less followed similar pattern as last year.

OTET is mandatory for teaching Class-I o VIII students in the schools of the state government, private aided schools and private unaided schools in the Odisha. Candidates intending to seek employment as teachers in private un-aided schools also have the option of appearing at Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) conducted by central government through CBSE. The minimum qualification to be considered for OTET 2017 is class 12th from a recognised board or institute.

OTET is conducted every year by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha which is a corporate body constituted under the Odisha Secondary Education Act, 1953. It regulates, controls and develops Secondary Education in Odisha. It offers varied courses in order to equip students for different occupations, to prepare them for university education and to equip them for various cultural purposes.

How to check OTET 2017 Answer Keys

The OTET 2017 Answer Keys have not yet been released. However, it is likely to be released soon. Once, released it will be available on the board website for download. Candidate can follow the below steps to download OTET 2017 Answer Keys, once it is available.

Step 1: Visit the official website of the board – bseodisha.ac.in.

Step 2: Click on the link ‘OTET 2017 Answer Keys' displayed on the homepage of the website.

Step 3: Like last year, the OTET 2017 Answer Keys will be released in pdf format. So, candidates will have to download their set of answer keys. There were four sets of question papers – A, B, C and D.

Step 4: Once you click on your set of paper, the answer keys will be downloaded.

Step 5: Match all the entries, if you find any discrepancy, you can challenge the Answer Keys.

How to challenge OTET 2017 Answer Keys

To challenge an Answer Key, there is a prescribed procedure laid down by board that need to be followed. Board will announce the date along with the release of Answer Keys, till when, answer keys could be challenged. As per last year guidelines, the students had to pay Rs 500 as fees to challenge an answer key. This fees can be paid online. Once a candidate files an objection, board takes it to the expert committee. The expert committee clears the objections as soon as possible and will release the Final Answer Key which will contain the final answer for the questions asked in the examination.

OTET 2017 Results

OTET 2017 results is likely to be announced in a month time. Last year exam was held on August 3, 2016 and results were announced on August 31, 2016. So far board has not officially communicated any date for result declaration. But most likely it will be released within a month time.
