Apple iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus would be available for pre-order starting September 22, 2017. These smartphone were launched few weeks ago.

The  , pre-order starts today. Earlier, global retail major Brightstar, which is one of the distributors of Apple phones in India had said that Apple iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus would be available for pre-order starting September 22, 2017 at various authorised stores in North and East India and these will be available in stores starting September 29. Apple iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus along with iPhone X were launched in a mega event at the company's headquarter in US on Tuesday. Both these smartphone is an upgraded version of previous edition, iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus and comes with a new glass and aluminum design in three colours – space grey, silver and gold.

The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus is made with the durable glass, have Retina HD displays, A11 bionic chip and is designed for the augmented experience. iPhone 8 Plus features dual 12-megapixel cameras and introduces portrait mode with portrait lighting, bringing studio lighting effects to iPhone, allowing user to capture portraits with a shallow depth of field effect in five different lighting styles.

Additionally, the much touted iPhone X will be available in India to pre-order on October 27 and it will be available at stores from November 3, 2017, said Brightstar. iPhone X comes with all-glass design with a 5.8-inch Super Retina display, A11 bionic chip, wireless charging, an improved rear camera with dual optical image stabilization and Face ID, enabled by the new True Depth camera.

With iPhone X, Apple is attempting to make things more convenient for users. The new iPhone X has removed the home screen button and has put up a face recognition technology to unlock the iPhone. The new biometric-Face ID uses a 3D scan of the face as a password to unlock device.

FaceID requires the person to simply look at their iPhone and it automatically recognizes the user's face in a no time and unlocks itself. It also replaces Touch ID for Apple Pay. This means, even for transactions, all a user has to do is to look into the iPhone to authorise the transaction.
