Vikas will take on his new role effective September 2017 and will replace Deepak Mehrotra, the current Managing Director, who is moving on to pursue his interests in other sectors.

“We are pleased to appoint Vikas Singh as the new Managing Director for Pearson in India. Our aim is to take world class global products and services from our lines of business and other geographies and bring them to India to meet the growing need for high-quality learning resources,” said Vikas in a statement.

Vikas holds a graduate degree in Chemistry from St. Stephens College, University of Delhi and a Post-Graduate degree in Management from Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi.
