Mumbai University Results 2017 declared for BCom at mu.ac.in, website goes down

Mumbai University has declared the results for three year Bachelors of Commerce courses at its official website - mu.ac.in.

Mumbai University Results 2017: Finally after a long wait Mumbai University has declared the results for three year Bachelors of Commerce courses. third year BCom 5th, 6th semester results 2017 is now available at mu.ac.in. But the website seems to be down as it is taking too long to open and at times giving the error message. For three year course, currently 432 results out of 477 have been declared. Now, all the students who have appeared in these examinations can go to the official website of the Mumbai University to check their results.

According to reports, the results have only been announced for the fifth and sixth semesters of the course in which about 79,823 students had appeared for the papers. About 65,992 student have appeared for semester 6 and 13831 for fifth semester.

According to reports, 384 students of semester 6 achieved outstanding (O) grades while 7,868 students achieved the “A” grade and 19,397 students failed to clear the exam. Among those who appeared for the semester 5 exams, three achieved outstanding grades, 119 achieved an “A” grade while 5,359 students failed the semester.

Results are also available for third and fourth year students of the five year LLB course. There were 2,301 students who appeared for the sixth semester LLB exam and 736 students who appeared for the seventh semester papers.

The lakh of Mumbai University (MU) graduate students fate are uncertain for post-graduation admission as the MU has failed to announce the results for degree colleges, law and other courses and there was no clarity as to when the results would be announced. Earlier, along with aggrieved students, Bombay University and College Teachers' Union (BUCTU) protested in Mumbai against university's failure in assessing answer papers and declaring results on time.

Earlier, taking the serious note on the delays in the declaration of the Mumbai University results 2017, the Governor of Maharashtra CH Vidyasagar Rao asked the university administration to declare results of all courses by 31st July 2017. The Governor asked Vice-Chancellor of the University Dr Sanjay Deshmukh to declare all courses' result by 31st July 2017 and to submit a detailed report in accordance with the provisions of Section 89 of Maharashtra Public Universities Act, explaining the strategy and road map for a declaration of results on time. But Mumbai University failed to declared the results by July 31.
