Amid speculation that Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel may join soon, Kasper Schmeichel has denied all rumours saying that he is not making such a move and will continue to serve .

UK daily, The Mirror, reported that Kasper Schmeichel has denied all rumours of him seeking a move to Manchester United this summer and has made it clear that he will stay on with Leicester City. “I am a Leicester player until someone tells me otherwise and until then I am fully committed to this club,” said Schmeichel.

Earlier Schmeichel played for Manchester City but he could not establish himself as the goalkeeper at the Etihad, and was loaned to several clubs and finally he joined Notts County back in 2009.

That was followed by a move to Leeds United after which he joined Leicester City in 2011 and managed to stay put ever since. His stock has been on the rise constantly ever since, especially after he played a crucial role in the club's shock fairytale victory in the 2015-16 Premier League campaign, said thehardtackle.

Despite Eldin Jakupovic being a part of the Foxes, Schmeichel is understood to prefer to stay back with Leicester and fight to retain his number one spot instead of joining Manchester United, report said.
