DDA Housing Scheme: 12072 flats on sale; here is how to apply, application form, eligibility criteria, flats details

: The Delhi Development Authority () has launched a new housing scheme in Delhi called DDA Aawasiya Yojana – 2017. Under the newly launched housing scheme, 12072 flats are being offered in different categories at different location in Delhi on freehold basis. Any Indian national who do not have a concrete house can apply for these flats.

DDA has linked the scheme with the ‘' to offer benefit to economically weaker section (EWS) and lower income group (LIG) section of the society. Under the Pradhan Mantri Aawas Yojana', a family having household income of 3,00,000 and between 3,00,001 to 6,00,000, gets subsidy on their loan amount.

Out of 12072 flats, 11197 are one bed room LIG flats mostly in Jasola, Rohini sector 16-29, Paschim Vihar, Kondli, Jafrabad, Narela, Dwarka and Ramgarh Colony. These flats are from 2014 scheme which were unoccupied so far. They have been priced between 15 lakh to 30 lakh. Most of these flats are between 28 square meters to 61 square meters.

In addition, there are 87 high income group (HIG) flats in Vasant Kunj, Jasola, Sukhdev Vihar, Dwarka, Pitampura, Rohini sector 11 and 18 and Kondli Gharoli. The size of these flats are between 72 square meters to 156 square meters. They have been priced between 53 lakhs to 1.26 crore.

There are 404 MIG flats and 384 ‘Janta' flats also. Most of the flats are in Rohini, Dwarka, Narela, Vasant Kunj, Jasola, Pitampura and Paschim Vihar. DDA claimed all the flats have been constructed using environment-friendly technologies.

The DDA has tied up with 10 banks for sale of application forms and scheme-related transactions. The banks are Axis Bank, Yes Bank, IDBI, Bank of Baroda, Central Bank, State Bank of India (SBI), Kotak Mahindra, HDFC, ICICI and Canara Bank. Application can also be made online. The benefit of applying online is that the applicant will have 72 hours window open to edit the form which they cannot do if they apply with the manual application form.

Like previous scheme of the DDA, the application form is available for Rs 200. It can be downloaded online or bought from designated banks. To apply, the application will have to give Rs 1,00,00 and Rs 2,00,00 demand draft or bank cheque as an applicant money to DDA, which will be refunded to unsuccessful applicants within 30 days. Post 30 days, the DDA would pay 8% interest.

“We have printed adequate number of application forms. There are various logistical constraints involved in launching a scheme of this magnitude, so we wanted to ensure that everything was in order before going public,” a senior DDA official said, quoted PTI.

DDA AAWASIYA YOJANA 2017 will remain open from 30-Jun-2017 to 11-Aug-2017.

Applicant can fill Application Form online or offline. To fill the Application Form offline, applicant can collect Brochure/Application Form from the DDA Sale Counter, Vikas Sadan, New Delhi or designated Banks as per Annexure “B” and submit duly filled Application Form to designated bank along with registration amount. To fill the Applicaiton Form online, instructions, brochure and application form are available in website of following banks.
