Global search giant Google removed fourty-one apps infected with malicious Judy from Play Store.  According to reports, the – Judy – was published by South Korean gaming studio Kiniwini under the name ENISTUDIO Corp.

The malware uses infected devices to generate large amounts of fraudulent clicks on advertisements, generating revenues for the malware creator. As of now there is no clarity on how the malicious code was published by ENISTUDIO Corp.

According to reports, this apps have been available in Google’s Play Store for years and it had a large amount of downloads between four and 18 million.

Although Google has removed infected apps but firms Checkpoint said that up to 36.5 million people may have downloaded the “auto-clicking adware,” on their smartphone.

Google Android is more open and adaptable system and it is being used on 1.4 billion phones across the world but according to expert, it is also a system which is easier to infiltrate than iOS-based devices.

To increase security and ensure proper protection, recently Google revealed “Play Protect,” a service that scans Android devices “around the clock” to ensure proper protection.
