CBSE Class XII results 2017: Ending speculation and confusionCentral Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced results for Senior Secondary School Certificate (Class 12th) exam for all streams today. Tomorrow ICSE, ISC  results are expected.

After the Delhi High Court order on continuation of marks moderation policy, there has been uncertainty as to when the board would announce the results. But now the board has confirmed to declare results tomorrow on May 28.

Once announced, the results can be accessed online at cbseresults.nic.in, results.nic.in or indiaresults.com. In addition, CBSE Class XII results 2017 will also be available on SMS and IVR.

Other boards like UP Board and CISCE, who were looking at CBSE decision will also announce their results soon. According to notification, ICSE, ISC examination results will be announced on Monday, May 29 and UP Board Class 12 results may come in first week of June.

Union HRD minister Prakash Javadekar has said that results will be announced on time and board will intimate 24 hours in advance. Last year, results were announced on May 21, 2016.

This year examinations were delayed due to Assembly polls in five states, however the board had said that it would be able to announce the CBSE Class 12 results 2017 and CBSE Class 10 results 2017 on time.

As many as 10.98 lakh students have appeared for the Class 12 exams this year which were conducted in the month of March and April.

On Tuesday Delhi High Court directed the CBSE to continue with its moderation of marks policy for Class X and Class XII board examinations for this year. The court termed the CBSE’s decision to scrap its ‘moderation policy’ after announcement of exam “unfair and irresponsible.”

Following the high court’s order, union human resource development minister Prakash Javadekar held a meeting with secretary of school education Anil Swaroop and the chairperson of CBSE Rajesh Kumar Chaturvedi on Wednesday morning. After meeting, HRD ministry had said that it would take legal opinion on the matter as well as explore other options. But the board finally decided not challenge the HC order.
