CBSE UGC NET Results: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is yet to declare the UGN NET results for January 2017

CBSE The Central Board of Secondary (CBSE) is yet to declare the UGN NET results for January 2017. According to reports, board was likely to announce the result for National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) on May 10. However, no such announcements were made but now board has confirmed to announce the results on May 29, said a notification at results.gov.in.

Once announced, will be available at cbsenet.nic.in. These examinations were conducted in January 2017. Recently, CBSE has released the answer keys for UGC NET 2017 on its official website cbsenet.nic.in.

CBSE UGC NET exams were held on 22 January 2017 across India. Twice every year, CBSE conduct UGC NET exams for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). The January UGC NET Exams 2017 were conducted for 83 subjects at 88 UGC NET examination centres.

According to UGC NET rules, while the candidates who qualify for the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) are eligible to pursue research in the subject of their post-graduation or in a related subject and are eligible for being Assistant Professor. On the other hand, a candidate who only qualify UGC NET exams but not JRF, is only eligible for being appointed as Assistant Professor in any university, college across India.

As per the UGC NET 2017 exam pattern, the exam had three papers and it was compulsory for candidates to appear in all papers. The UGC NET 2017 paper I was of general nature intended to assess the teaching and research aptitude of the candidate. Paper II and III of UGC NET 2017 were subject specifics as selected by candidates.

CBSE says its role is only upto the conduct of NET Examination and declaration of result. The e-certificates to qualified candidate are issued by UGC- NET Bureau.

Recently, the board had said that it was overburdened by different exams and asked the Union Human Resource Development Ministry to take away the UGC NET exam from them. But until the further orders, the exam will be conducted by the CBSE. According to media report, HRD Ministry is mulling to conduct CTET and UGC NET once a year.

  1. Comment: if cbse cant declare result, y give unnecessary notification of dates 4 result declaration?? ugc dont excuse candidates 4 late submission of forms etc, n yet expect candidates 2 excuse dar delay 4 nearly a month n still bluffing with excuses….

  2. According to CBSE, the candidates could file online objections on answer key till 10 May. Its very obvious that after that they will need some time to recheck them. If any correction is found, they will issue the final answer key with modifications. The whole process will take time at least of 15 to 20 days. Only after that the final result will be declared.

  3. Please delcare the net result( january 2017) at the earliest since those uncleared candidates will have to apply for the July session. Whereas the last date for filling of online form (i.e. July session) is this month!
