: The Joint Entrance Examination Advance 2017 or popularly known as JEE Advanced 2017 has been conducted today. Over 2,20,000 students who have qualified JEE Main Examinations have appeared for JEE Advanced 2017. These exams were conducted in the seven zonal IITs under the guidance of the Joint Admission Board (JAB) 2017.

According to JAB, the performance of a candidate in this examination will form the basis for admission to the bachelor's, integrated master's and dual degree programs (entry at the 10+2 level) in Indian School of Mines (ISM), Dhanbad and in all the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) across the country.

“The decisions of the JAB 2017 will be final in all matters related to JEE (Advanced) 2017 and admission to IITs,” said JAB.

The examination consists of two papers, Paper 1 and Paper 2, each of three hours duration. While Paper 1 had been scheduled from 9 am to 12 pm, Paper was conducted from 2 pm to 5 pm.

According to reports, the overall level of paper was moderate. Some experts and students said, physics and chemistry was tougher than mathematics section.

As per report, the cut off to qualify for JEE Advanced 2017 was 81 for General students, 49 for OBC, 31 for SC and 27 for ST students.

Earlier the JAB has issued JEE Advanced 2017 admit card to all the eligible students. Admit card, along with photo ID card of the candidates will be checked while allowing them to enter the examination hall.

Last year, only the top 2 lakh JEE Main qualifiers were eligible for JEE Advanced 2017.

Once a student qualifies JEE Main examinations, then they are asked to fill the form for JEE Advanced exam. This year the window for registration was opened till May 2, 2017.

The seat allotment process of the selected candidates will be done through JoSAA counselling. Around 10,572 undergraduate engineering seats will be open for admission through JEE Advanced.

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has been set up by the Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD) to manage and regulate the joint seat allocation for admissions to IITs, ISM, 31 NITs, 20 IIITs and 18 other government funded technical institutes.

JEE Advanced Answer Keys 2017

After completion of entrance examination, IIT will release JEE Advanced answer keys 2017 for student so that they can tally with their answers and find out their score. Board is likely to release key on June 4, 2017.

After release of JEE Advance answer keys candidates are likely to be given 2-3 days to send their feedback. Some of the private coaching institutes have started releasing the answer keys today itself.
