Himachal Pradesh board Class 10 results declared; Here’s top 10 students, pass percentage and re-checking date

The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education, (HPBOSE) has announced Class 10 result at its official website – hpbose.org.

: The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education, (HPBOSE) has announced Class 10 result at its official website – hpbose.org. These exams were conducted from March 4 to March 17, 2017. According to reports, about 1.5 lakh candidates appeared for the exams.

The first paper was Hindi, followed by English, Social Science, Financial Literacy, Mathematics, Science and other subjects like languages and Arts. They were conducted from 8.45 am to 12 pm while the State Open School (SOS) exams were held from 1.45 pm to 5 pm.

According to board official, 67.7% students have passed this year's Himachal Pradesh board Class 10 examination. About 1,15, 311 students appeared in the exam and 76,855 have cleared it. As many as 16,564 have got the compartment.

In 2016 also, out of total 1,22,614 students who appeared in the Himachal Pradesh board Class 10 examination only 81,304 could passed and 16,616 got compartment.

 Steps to check Himachal Pradesh board Class 10 results

  1. Go to the official website of HPBOSE – hpbose.org or examresults.net
  2. On the homepage, go to the results page section student's corner in the left side bar
  3. Click on the link results
  4. It will take you to another page, here click on “Matric (Regular/Comp/Imp/Addl/) Result March-2017 ”
  5. Fill in the details in the fields provided and submit.
  6. Download the results sheet and take a print out of the same for further reference

According to notification from the board, any students would like to get their papers re-examine or re-evaluated can submit an online request by May, 24, 2017. The fees for re-examination and re-evaluation are ₹400 and ₹300 respectively.

Like last year, the top two position has been bagged by girls again with Isha Chauhan of Minerva Senior Sec School, Ghumarwin on the top scoring 99.14% and Riya Chauhan of SVN Public School, Nahan scoring 99.00%. The third position went to Nikhil Rana of A V M High School, Khundian. He scored 98.86%.

In 2016, girls have bagged the top three slots at the Himachal Board exams with Akshima Thakur at the top position scoring 98.57%. The second position was jointly shared by Lakita Khidtta and Ira Sharma (98.29%).

The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education main function is to prescribe syllabus, courses of instruction, and text books and also to conduct examinations for school education in Himachal Pradesh. At present the board conducts examination for both Class 10 and 12. Presently more than 8000 schools are affiliated with the Board.
